my boys are 4 and a half! they are getting so BIG! i love them so much and am so proud of them. so much enthusiasm and joy. these days they are really into pretending to be their favorite characters on tv. they have been super heroes this week, or rather, super readers from 'super why', a show about problem solving and reading (or at least that's what PBS wants me to believe, you know, that's it's good for them).
they love love love story telling, and will often tell stories together as they eat and play.
micah is really starting to 'come out of his shell', saying hi to strangers and engaging friends in conversation. he asks thoughtful questions, like how would the volcano be if the opening were smaller (they made baking soda and vinegar volcanoes), and asking about another person's point of view. he's caring and compassionate, often cheering jonas up when he gets upset and snuggling with eli in the morning.
jonas has been dancing and singing lately. it is so much fun watching him and hearing his songs. he has big exaggerated movements, which is fun as long as he's not too close! he tells me frequently throughout the day how much he love me and that i'm his friend. i will miss that when he's a teenager, i'm sure. i'll savor it for now.
